What is Solar Air conditioner
Solar air conditioning refers to any air conditioning (cooling) system that uses solar power.
This can be done through passive solar, solar thermal energy conversion and photovoltaic conversion (sunlight to electricity). All of our solar air conditioners are using solar PV power. As the technology developing, solar air conditioner plays an increasing role in zero-energy and energy-plus buildings design.
Types of Solar PV air conditioner
We have two type solar air conditioners, off-grid DC48V and ACDC hybrid.
1. An 100% off grid unit / DC48V solar air conditioner
These units will run on solar during the day and have battery storage for night running. Depending where in the world they are installed the amount of solar panels and the size of battery storage needed to run the units will depend on the amount sun light hrs in that country. The longer you require the systems to run after the sun goes down the more panels and bigger batteries are needed.

The solar panels charge the batteries during the daytime and supply power to the air conditioner at the same time. Night time, all power will be from charged batteries.
2. ACDC Hybrid Solar air conditioner
An AC/DC unit available in four main sizes at 9000 btu,12000btu, 18000 and 24000btu unit. These units will run on solar during the day and auto switch to grid power at night. They can not have battery back-up for night running. They are perfect for schools or offices where there is the majority demand is for day and not night use.
The Hybrid solar air conditioner can utilize the maximum amount of available solar power* drawn from the PV modules directly during the day even there is no grid-tied utility power at all. Even when the sun is not shining at all during night, this ultrahigh efficiency heat pump (A SEER 23 rating without solar and SEER 35 with solar) will keep you comfortable and save you money using far less electricity than a normal A/C or heat pump of the same capacity.
